Overview

I've tested the AVerMedia® AVerTV USB 2.0 Plus sold by Dell as an OEM of AVerMedia, priced 95.00 Euros in France.

This is a cheap, convenient TV Tuner/DVR providing fair quality. The software is the best I've been testing so far for viewing TV and making my PC a full featured DVR with time shifting.

It's rather a nice surprise!

Installation

First good surprise, it is a self-powered mall box: 3.6" x 3.48" x 0.69".

The installation process is a bit surprising but efficient:

Upon connecting the AVerTV USB 2.0 Plus to the PC's USB2.0 port, the system will automatically detect the new device.
